Description : Myšia hôrka is an archeological locality in the cadastral territory of the village of Spišský Štvrtok in the district of Levoča . It is located on a hill (620 m above sea level) 2 km west of the village. There was a fortified village of an urban character, a settlement of the people of the Ottoman culture from the beginning of the Middle Bronze Age (approximately 1,500 years BC), occupied an area of 6,600 m2. It was protected by a unique fortification system, a deep moat, an external stone wall and a rampart with palisades. The production of ceramics, bone, stone and bronze objects was concentrated here, but gold and bronze jewelry, bone and amber products with Mycenaean ornaments and faience pearls were also found here. In the area, 39 dwellings and an obedience with traces of anthropophagy were examined. The site probably disappeared in the 14th century BC. in the event of a large fire and has not been restored. It is a unique site of its kind in Central Europe.
